1.How does the Wunsch Boutique gift list work?
A wedding gift list – or Hochzeitstisch – is a chance for a bridal couple to put together a list of gifts that they would really like to receive, so that their friends and family can choose gifts that will be appreciated for a lifetime.
Wunsch Boutique makes this process easier for everyone by taking this concept online.
All you need to do is:
- Register: Provide us with your contact information and some basic personal information – such as your names and the date of your wedding – and you can get started! (Don’t worry, this information can be edited at any point).
- Your gift list will automatically be set up following registration. If you want to personalise your page, you can add a welcome message and a photo.
- Adding gifts: browse our catalogue of gifts and add any items you like to your gift list.
- Let your friends and family know about your gift list!
- Your guests can find your gift list by going to “Find a Gift List” on the Wunsch Boutique homepage and entering a username and password that you have chosen.
- Your guests can then purchase any item they like from your gift list.

You will often find that as soon as friends and relatives know about your wedding, they will ask about your Hochzeitstisch or gift list.
There is no proscribed way to tell people about your gift list, but a quick email response to inquiries about gifts would be the simplest option. Below is an example message, which you could also send by mail.
Pleased don’t feel obliged to give us a wedding gift – we are just looking forward to a wonderful wedding day which we can celebrate with our friends and family!
We have, however, put together a list of items that would be extra special to us.

Information can also be circulated by close family and members of the bridal party, giving people the website address and your username and password, by email, phone, mail or word of mouth.
It is not regarded as customary to send out details of your gift list with your invitations, but at the end of the day it is your wedding, so do whatever you feel comfortable with.

It is very easy for guests to log-in, provided they have your username and password.
Anyone who is experiencing problems logging in can contact the Wunsch Boutique team by clicking on “Contact” in the top navigation bar and sending us a message.

You can print out your gift list and mail it to any guest that does not have internet access.
To purchase an item, they can then write to us:
- including their contact information (name, address and telephone number);
- referencing your or your fiancé(e)s full name;
- indicating which gift they would like to purchase.

Only people with the username and password you chose for guests to log in with can view your gift list.

Once you are registered and logged in, you can personalise your gift list by adding a welcome message and a photo.
Your message gives you the opportunity to thank guests in advance, let them know you are looking forward to seeing them soon, or explain that you have all the home items you need and so would much prefer a charitable donation or a piece of artwork instead. It’s up to you!

Wunsch Boutique allows you to offer certain more expensive items in shares on your gift list – e.g. a ¤1,000 flat-screen TV can be entered on your gift list as 10 separate ¤100 “gift shares”. Guests can buy any one of these shares. They don’t even have to know each other!
Items that can be offered in shares are labelled “Want to share this gift?”
Once all the “shares” have been purchased, we will be able to order the gift for you.
If, by the time your gift list is closed, not all the shares have been purchased, you will be given the option to (i) pay for the remaining shares yourself or (ii) to put the money paid by guests towards other gifts of your choice. If you choose to get other gifts, guests who have purchased shares will be informed of your decision by Wunsch Boutique.
9.What unusual gifts does Wunsch Boutique include?

9.What unusual gifts does Wunsch Boutique include?
At Wunsch Boutique, you can purchase traditional items such as glasses or dinnerware from leading brands.
However, Wunsch Boutique also allows guests to give cash gifts or donate money to charity on behalf of the bridal couple. We offer vouchers for experiences (such as skydiving or canoeing) or classes (such as dance classes or language lessons) in your region. You can also choose a piece of artwork for your home. You can be as creative or as conservative as you wish!

10.Can we ask for donations to our favourite charity?
If you want others to benefit from the celebration of your wedding, then you can request charity donation vouchers for ¤25, ¤50 or ¤100 for your favourite charity.
We currently work with a broad well-respected partner charities, but if you would like donations to be made in your name to a charity that is not included on our website, please do not hesitate to email us at admin@wunschboutique.de and we will try our best to set this up for you.

For each donation or gift, you will receive a card from the gift-giver that allows them to send a personal message. Guests will have to pay a small processing/ delivery fee of ¤1.
Cash gifts: As soon as your gift list is closed, we will notify you of all the cash gifts that have been made and request your bank details so that we may transfer these funds the working day after your wedding.
Charity donations: As soon as your gift list is closed, all the donations will be transferred by Wunsch Boutique directly to the charity’s bank account on your behalf.

After your gifts are delivered, you will receive a list of all the gifts, including who purchased which item. This will enable you to better manage your Thank you cards.

Until your gift list is closed (normally 3 weeks prior to your preferred delivery date), you can edit your gift list at any time by logging on to “Manage gift list”.
From here you can delete any items that have not yet been purchased, browse the catalogue to add gifts, edit your welcome message or change your photo.
As soon as you have made your changes, they are visible to anyone who visits your gift list. For this reason, it is wise to create a gift list you are satisfied with before you let people know about it, and only make small changes here and there subsequently.

Your gift list is automatically closed 3 weeks prior to your preferred delivery date and guests will no longer be able to access your gift list. We will remind you of this a week before the list is closed. At that time you may want to send a friendly reminder to friends and family about your gift list, in case there are some gifts that have not been purchased yet.
To make changes to your preferred delivery date go to “Manage gift list” and click on “delivery information”. Here you can view and edit the date on which your gift list will close. Please note that certain date restrictions will apply (e.g. you will not be able to change this date to one that is less than 3 weeks away).

On the day your gift list is closed to friends and family, we will send you a notification that the list is now closed for guests. If there are gifts on your list that have not been purchased, you may want to buy them yourself and have them sent to you in the same shipment as all the other gifts. We will kindly ask you make that decision within 2 working days, because otherwise we will not be able to meet the delivery deadline.

In the case of cash gifts, the bank transfer will be made on the next working day after your wedding.

The Wunsch Boutique gift list service is free for you, the bridal couple.
When guests purchase a gift, they will pay a small fee for gift wrapping, handling and delivery. For further information, see our Terms and Conditions.

Processing payments securely is a priority for Wunsch Boutique. All sensitive personal information and card details are safely and securely handled by our secure payment partner. In order to view a wedding gift list, go to www.wunschboutique.de.
Log in under “Find a gift list” using the username and password provided to you by the bridal couple. Easy!

If you have forgotten the password, you will have to ask the bridal couple for it. Wunsch Boutique is unable to give out passwords or any other personal information relating to couples’ gift lists.

Once you have found your friend or relative’s gift list, all you need to do is browse the gifts they have selected and then click on “Add to basket” when you see one or more items that you would like to buy.
When you have finished browsing the gifts, click on “cart” in the top righthand corner. Here you can edit your order.
When you are satisfied with your order, click on “checkout” to view shipping and handling information. Please note that the bridal couple has already supplied Wunsch Boutique with their delivery information.
To pay for the item(s) click on “Continue”. Here you will need to enter your billing address and your card payment details or you can choose to pay by bank transfer (customers in Germany only).
You will have one more chance to view your order summary before you confirm payment and it is processed.
An email confirmation will automatically be sent to your email address.

Of course, gifts are automatically deleted from the wish list once they are bought. If an item is requested multiple times, e.g. glasses, the remaining number of requested units is reduced by the purchased quantity.
6.What does “Gift Share” mean?

For certain more expensive items, the bridal couple can choose to offer the gift in “shares”.
So, for example, an item that is ¤1,000 can be split into 10 shares. This means that you can purchase a ¤100 “share” of the gift.
In this way, you can club together with others to give the bridal couple a gift they really want – and you don’t even have to know the other gift-givers!
If only a number of the shares have been purchased by the time the gift list is closed, the couple will be given the option to pay for the balance themselves, or – if they prefer – the money they have received can be spent on something else they would like instead. If this happens, you will be notified by email.

All gifts are wrapped in pale blue paper with a white ribbon, just like the gift images you can see on the Wunsch Boutique website.

Yes, in the payment process you will be given the option to type a personal message to the bridal couple that will be printed on a card and included with your gift.

If you are purchasing a gift from a couple’s gift list, you do not need to organise the delivery or even give the delivery address. We work with all couples to ensure they receive all their gifts in one shipment.
If you are buying a gift for a couple that is not registered with us, you will be prompted to provide a delivery address.

If you are buying a gift from a couple’s gift list, your gift will be delivered to them along with all the other gifts they receive. You are not able to receive the gift yourself.
If you are buying a gift for a couple that is not registered with Wunsch Boutique, then you can enter your address as the delivery address (addresses in Germany only).

Of course there is nothing to stop you from buying a gift from a store, however the online gift list is the only way that a bridal couple can coordinate the gifts they receive.
If you buy offline there is a chance, for example, that someone else will buy the same gift as you. When an item has been purchased from the online gift list, however, it is no longer displayed on the couple’s list and that way they don’t receive 4 toasters!
Wunch Boutique also organises the wrapping and delivery of all gifts in one simple shipment, making it easier for the bridal couple and their friends and family. Couples can even pick their preferred delivery date, making sure that they are at home when their gifts arrive and not on honeymoon!
And don’t worry: you can still keep it personal. You have the chance to add a message to the couple in the checkout process, which will be printed on a card and delivered along with your gift.

Products will be delivered within 10 working days from the date of purchase. If, however, a particular item will take longer than this, it will be indicated in the product description.
6.Can I speed up the delivery time?
Unfortunately at this time we do not offer an expedited delivery service. However, if you need your gift delivered quickly, then please contact the Wunsch Boutique team at admin@wunschboutique.de and we will do all we can to accommodate your request.
